The tour runs from September 12 in Pittsburgh clear through the end of November. Included are two-night stands in Pontiac (Mich.) and Chicago.

Saves The Day‘s In Reverie gets released September 16 and is already generating a healthy amount of buzz. It’s the fourth disc for the band and their first on the DreamWorks label.

Since they’ve been around a few years longer than Taking Back Sunday, Saves The Day naturally have a bit more touring experience under their belts. They formed in the mid-‘90s out in New Jersey and quickly gained a heavy local following thanks to their live shows and post-punk sound.

It was Saves The Day’s second album, Through Being Cool, at the end of the ‘90s that helped pave the way for their present day success. Their first big national tour followed a couple years later in 2001 when they boarded the Vagrant America Tour with a whole bunch of labelmates.

After that, they’ve been headlining tours right and left, selling out theatres. When they’re not doing that, Saves The Day have supported the likes of Green Day, blink-182, and Weezer.

No strangers to the stage, Taking Back Sunday have kept their bus steady on the road since 2002. That year, they swapped headlining duties with Brand New and The Starting Line, did a couple shows with blink-182 offshoot Box Car Racer, and supported Midtown.

This year, they’ve been all over the place, namely on the summer’s Vans Warped Tour.
