Cowboy Up
This must be the week artists announce their tours for the beginning of the year. Country boy George Strait has stepped up to the plate and given fans the initial batch of dates for his 2004 tour.
With more shows expected to be added, the confirmed schedule finds Strait kicking the arena outing off in Florida January 15. He’s expected to tour the States through March.
Opening acts for the whole tour will be Dierks Bentley, known for his “What Was I Thinkin'” and Kellie Coffey who gets her share of air time for “When You Lie Next To Me.”
Once again, Strait will play a stage configuration that lets everyone in the arena get a good look, with him on a center stage, facing all sides of the crowd.
Tickets for the MGM Grand show in Las Vegas on January 31 go on sale October 4 and are priced at $50, $75 and $95 – perhaps an indication of the sort of prices fans can expect to pay for the rest of the dates.
