Stops on the mostly West Coast itinerary include a two-night stand at Los Angeles’ Wiltern Theatre. Seal will also visit New York October 15 – one month prior to the tour – for a show with Rod Stewart, Sarah McLachlan, and Simply Red.

His new disc, Seal IV, was just released to a No. 3 spot on Billboard. It’s his fourth album total and third named after, well, himself.

“That was my idea actually,” Seal told Billboard. “After the first and second albums, any attempt to call it anything else seemed unnatural. That third album [Human Being] was a commercial catastrophe.”

Human Being sputtered out before hitting the 500,000 mark – a “commercial catastrophe” considering 1994’s Seal sold more than 3 million copies.
