“We’re calling the tour Back 2 Basics because this is the way it was in the beginning with the two of us playing small halls,” Jonathan Davis of Korn said. And it doesn’t hurt that he’s “really into Xbox,” the tour sponsor, either.

The Xbox Live: Back 2 Basics outing kicks off November 10 in Las Vegas and takes a geographical approach to the road, hitting theatres on the West Coast and working its way out East where it wraps in Canada on the 28th.

It’s more than just music too. Each stop will reportedly feature an opportunity for one fan to compete head-to-head with a Korn member on an Xbox video game.

Although the bands have been longtime friends and collaborators, it’s been a few years since they shared the road. The Family Values Tour in 1999 was the most recent joint outing.

Following the Xbox Live outing, Limp Bizkit will take off to Japan where they have four shows planned for December. Korn, too, will continue onward with national and international dates as they play Mexico, New Jersey, Cleveland and Australia.
