With MxPx and Simple Plan leading the crew, a five-band-strong tour has inked in dates from January 26 through the end of February, with more dates promised to be added.

Motion City Soundtrack are only on til February 8 and Billy Talent pick up where they leave off beginning on the 9th.

All the bands have been touring heavily this year and it looks like 2004 is shaping up to be the same.

In addition, they’ve been busy working on and promoting new material. MxPx released their Before Everything And After in September, while fellow headliners Simple Plan just let loose a DVD/EP set, A Big Package For You.

Despite their name and even title of their album, Motion City Soundtrack are about more than just, um, soundtracks. Their latest, I Am The Movie, is full of original tunes with no film affiliations whatsoever.

Not ones to be left out of the new music pool, the hotly tipped newbies Billy Talent have a self-titled major label debut on shelves.

That leaves Sugarcult, who have somehow found time to enter the studio in between tours and work on that much-awaited album, which will follow 2001’s Start Static.
