The band’s fourth annual holiday celebration concerts are actually benefits for Toys For Tots and will be held at the Lakewood Theatre.

“Last year’s holiday extravaganza was such a success that we’ve decided to add a second night,” Spree leader Tim DeLaughter said.

And with a holiday-themed set, complete with appearances by Santa & Mrs. Claus, Rudolph, Frosty, a live reindeer and sleigh, a Christmas mime, milk and cookies (served at midnight), it’s no wonder they’ve added a second show this year.

In addition to the Polyphonic Spree, the event will feature sets by Patrick Park, the Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players, Syncopated Ladies, Celebration Ringers, Shibboleth and Spread A Little Love Soundsystem.

The festivities commence with a screening of the 1964 classic “Rudolph, The Red-Nosed Reindeer.”

A White Elephant Raffle will also take place. Ticket buyers can win gift certificates redeemable at local businesses.
