She’ll make her way across the States for the next five weeks or so, stopping in Vancouver for a single Canadian gig. The tour is scheduled to run through April 4, when it’ll finish at Washington, D.C.’s 9:30 Club.

Phair’s self-titled album shocked most observers when it hit in June 2003. The disc’s slick, poppy sound combined with Phair’s sultry new image led many to dismiss the former indie queen as a sellout, washout, or worse.

However, Phair has done well on the road, having apparently gotten over her somewhat infamous stage fright. In the second half of 2003 she headlined her own tour, played some big festivals, and embarked on stints with the Flaming Lips and Jason Mraz.
