The legendary axeman is gearing up for his latest trek with a few hometown shows – 16, to be exact – at his own Buddy Guy’s Legends club in Chicago. Each concert will reportedly be recorded and released on CD through the Pirate Entertainment label.

The Chicago shows will run through the remainder of January, after which he’ll head up Canada way for three nights before hitting the States for a good two months. He’ll finally take a rest after the Denton Art & Jazz Festival in Denton, Texas, April 24.

No dates are currently scheduled for May, but Guy doesn’t seem to be letting up – a June 5 show at the City Auditorium in Eureka Springs, Ark., is already on the books.
