Are you looking for a challenge? Are you looking for a career that gives you more than just job security, food on the table and a generous pension plan, plus medical and dental? Are you looking for adventure? Excitement? A life like no other?

Then you may have what it takes to become a concert promoter!

Each spring the concert industry turns to the new crop of high school graduates in hopes of finding a few good men and women who are brave enough to answer the call for fame and glory. People who have the guts to go toe-to-toe with booking agents in order to secure dates for Eric Clapton and Jewel. People who have that rare combination of stamina, will power and strength to present shows starring Toby Keith and Bryan Adams. People who want more than just a job. People who want an adventure!

Are you one of them?

First off, you’re going to need a lot of math. Coursework in calculus and trigonometry in order to book Dream Theater, geometry and physics for Britney Spears and Yes, and a deep comprehension of chaos theory so that you can plan the logistics for the upcoming Guns N’ Roses tour.

Think you can handle it?

But that’s not all. A well-developed background in ancient and modern history is a must if you want to do shows with Barenaked Ladies and Primus. You’ll study the naval battles of Lafitte, Picard and Kirk for advice on how to handle Ryan Adams, and you’ll immerse yourself in the days of the Roman Empire with special emphasis on the Caesars, including Nero, Caligula, and Graham, so that you may bargain for a better price for Aerosmith, Sting and Shania Twain.

Does this sound like you?

Experience the power! Know what it’s like to be the envy of your friends, and how it feels to be feared by your enemies. All it takes is four years of college, six years of post-graduate work followed by a seven-year internship to put you on the road to presenting shows by Neil Young and John Mayer. Fluency in the major languages of the world, including Japanese, French, Chinese, German, Ferangi and Italian a definite plus.

Are you ready for the challenge of a lifetime?

Then see your concert industry recruiting officer today. For the world is made up of two kinds of people, concert fans and concert promoters. And anyone can be a fan, but only you can be one of the few, the proud… a concert promoter!
