Boom Legionnaires
Los Angeles-based electronica duo The Crystal Method have announced their first proper tour in more than two years. The tour begins in California late next month with a February 26 gig at Sacramento’s Empire.
From there, the Method men are scheduled to head up the West Coast into Canada before coming back down through the South and Midwest. The current itinerary stretches through the end of March, with the last gig taking place on the 30th at Charlotte, N.C.’s Tremont Music Hall.
Although the pair did a string of DJ sets last month, they have mostly kept their live show off the road since 2001, when they toured in support of their last release, Tweekend.
The Crystal Method’s new album, Legion of Boom, was released on January 13. The two members – Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland – celebrated with a DJ set and autograph-signing that day at San Francisco’s Virgin Megastore.
