Viva Alejandro
Spanish superstar Alejandro Sanz has announced a mammoth tour of South and North America. The outing will begin February 10 in Panama City, Panama, and run through El Salvador, Guatemala, Venezuela, Ecuador, Colombia and Mexico before heading up to the U.S. in April.
Sanz is taking a 13-piece band on the tour, comprising musicians from the U.S., Cuba and Spain.
Sanz’s new album, No Es Lo Mismo, went platinum in its first week on the charts. It’s already hit two million and is nominated for a Grammy for best Latin pop album.
In 2002, Sanz won three awards at the Latin Grammys, including album of the year for his MTV Unplugged recording. He won four Grammys the previous year for El Alma Al Aire, his last studio album.
