An anonymous “official” announcement is making the rounds on the Internet, stating that some North American warm-up shows will precede the band’s heavily rumored Coachella appearance. A supporting slot for Red Hot Chili Peppers in Europe is also mentioned, and the Peppers’ official Web site claims that the Pixies will appear with them in Paris and Dublin.

However, Heidi Robinson, the Pixies’ publicist, told Pollstar that nothing has been confirmed – not even the Coachella date. She stated that the band will play the weekend desert festival, but the specific date has not been verified.
