The Revolution Begins
O.A.R. (…of a revolution) is on the road again this year. The frat band-turned-nationwide headliner has shows booked through mid-March.
A healthy chunk of the dates are co-headliners with Robert Randolph & the Family Band, and they’ll open for Guster on February 28. Special guest Donovan Frankenreiter appears March 1-11.
Their latest full-length, In Between Now And Then, was released last May.
The band started off playing shows at their native Ohio State University and soon began selling out theatres and concert halls across the U.S. They enthusiastically credit Napster, the original filesharing phenomenon, with helping their popularity skyrocket.
“I know that pisses off half the record industry, but it’s the truth,” singer/guitarist Marc Roberge told Pollstar. “You can’t really deny it. It’s the reason why we could go play at every college in the country.”
