“This summer, Lollapalooza will embody the spirit of the gypsy! Our buses of artisans sleeping over in each and every city will spread the sense of exhilaration,” founder Perry Farrell said. “The days and nights will be filled with mischief.”

Modest Mouse, The Polyphonic Spree, and The String Cheese Incident are also confirmed for the summer trek. A full lineup and specific tour dates will be announced shortly.

Along with the hot lineup and lower ticket prices, organizers promise the festival will enable the masses to participate in cutting edge technology and culture, while encouraging increased environmental consciousness and political awareness and offering the opportunity to affect change in a positive way.
