Between Here And Gone
Country-folk singer/songwriter Mary Chapin Carpenter is heading back out with 10 weeks of headlining dates, beginning May 14 in Reading, Pa., and wrapping with a double date at Vienna, Va.’s Wolf Trap Filene Center July 31 and August 1.
After a couple of years off the road, Carpenter resurfaced last year with a string of summer solo dates and a headlining spot on the fall Songwriter Tour, which also featured Shawn Colvin, Patty Griffin and Dar Williams.
Carpenter’s new album, Between Here And Gone, is set for an April 26 release. The record is her first since 2001’s Time*Sex*Love.
Critically lauded Americana artist Jim Lauderdale will appear on all dates except July 10 in Atlanta. He’ll be supporting his upcoming release, Headed For The Hills.
Grateful Dead lyricist/solo performer Robert Hunter co-wrote the album, which drops May 18 and features guest spots from David Rawlings, Emmylou Harris, Gillian Welch, Donna The Buffalo and more.
