According to a press release, Tweedy recently entered a Chicago rehabilitation facility to treat an addiction to painkillers stemming from his ongoing battle with migraine headaches.

The axed shows run from April 21 to May 1 and include dates in the South and Southwest as well as the band’s planned performance. Full refunds will be issued to ticket holders of all cancelled dates except Coachella.

Wilco is scheduled to return to the stage May 28 in Barcelona, Spain. North American and European dates in June and July will follow.
