The Ohio-raised producer/DJ is primed to become hip-hop’s latest boundary-smasher with Since We Last Spoke, set for release May 18. He added his live instrumentation skills to the traditional sample-based production, and let rock elements shine alongside hip-hop beats and an array of other influences.

The tour starts May 13 at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom and runs through the end of the month, wrapping at Club Sonar in Baltimore May 29.

RJD2 revealed his elaborate stage show plans to ukhh.com earlier this spring.

“I’m going to be dancing a lot and maybe a little music,” he said. “Let’s see – four turntables and I’m going to try and do lots of back flips. I have the Black Eyed Peas wardrobe coordinator working for me, so I’m hoping I’m going to look as cool as The Black Eyed Peas.”

Chicago rapper Diverse will appear on most dates, and New York newcomers Automato will be on board May 13-19.
