The tour will coincide with the release of 311’s greatest hits album, due out June 8. The disc features the band’s recent No. 1 single, a cover of The Cure’s “Lovesong.”

Dates stretch from June 17 in Indianapolis to August 1, when they’ll wrap things up in Tampa Bay, Fla.

The itinerary includes a free show in the band’s hometown of Omaha, Neb., when the city celebrates its sesquicentennial July 16.

“We were so thrilled to be asked to be a part of Omaha’s 150th birthday,” singer/guitarist Nick Hexum said. “We’re very proud of our Nebraskan roots and we feel it’s always given our band a uniquely Midwestern attitude.

“‘Work hard and appreciate your blessings!’ That’s what we say.”

Last year 311 toured from July to December, with a host of opening acts including Something Corporate, G. Love & Special Sauce, and Alien Ant Farm. A two-week run this past March was largely sold out.
