Go Gloria
Gloria Estefan has announced dates for her first tour in more than seven years. The singer is supporting her latest album, Unwrapped, which hit stores last September.
She’ll start in late July with extended runs in Texas and California. The current itinerary lists nearly 30 dates, stretching through the end of September.
Estefan’s last major tour took place in 1996. She did a series of mostly East Coast dates in early 1997, but has kept off the road in the years since, surfacing occasionally for one-off concerts.
Last October she did seven shows at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The multimedia-enhanced concerts, featuring a 23-piece band and choreography by director Kenny Ortega, resulted in the DVD “Live And Unwrapped.”
