The group’s latest album, Or Stay Tuned, was released last August on Om Records, and they supported it in the fall on a string of U.S. dates with the Cunninlynguists, Raekwon and others.

This April, the group toured the western U.S. and Canada with J-Live. They’ve been playing material from throughout their four Om Records albums as well as hyping their upcoming full-length, Stepfather, which is set to drop in October.

The duo prides itself on its old school approach to hip-hop, eschewing newfangled keyboards in favor of the classic turntables, microphone and sampler setup. Members Thes One and Double K handle every aspect of the music, from crate-digging to beat-making to rapping, and they design their own artwork and packaging.

“We are not MCs, producers, or DJs”, Double K says. “We are B-boys, and we do all of that naturally.”
