The singer/songwriter, whose current British run will take him through the end of June, plans to include shows from Glasgow to Brighton on his fall run.

He did two U.S. tours last year, as well as a U.K. run in December, and appeared at the One Big No anti-war concert in March at Shepherds Bush Empire in London.

Weller first came on the scene with The Jam in the late 1970s before breaking up that outfit and founding the Style Council in 1983. He rebounded as a solo artist in the ’90s with three albums that were highly successful in Britain.

Although Heliocentric was touted as his final album upon its release in 2000, he put out a live disc, Days Of Speed, the following year and soon followed up with another studio release, 2002’s Illumination. Last year he released a b-sides/rarities collection and also a mix CD of his favorite influences.
