According to a press release, Ward “has now reconsidered” after previously declining to play with fellow Sabbath founders Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler.

Initial Ozzfest press releases named Bordin as drummer, but Ward posted a message on his official Web site shortly thereafter indicating that he was willing to perform. After apparent negotiations, he’s back on board for the tour, which will also feature the reunited Judas Priest.

“You have the original Black Sabbath and the original Judas Priest,” said Ozzy/Sabbath manager and Ozzfest founder Sharon Osbourne. “What more could you want!”

Slayer, Slipknot, Hatebreed and more will accompany on the 26-city trek, which kicks off July 10 in Hartford, Conn.
