An official bio lists his talents and interests as including “professional graphic arts, short story writing and teaching, painting, running, darning, knitting, crocheting, weaving, quilting, cleaning, photography, haircutting, and dry wall installation,” and notes that he created his own second language in high school.

Luckily for music fans, he’s focusing on the songs this summer with a batch of July and August dates in support of a couple of recent releases.

The shows begin in New York City July 1, with dates stretching through the end of the month – mostly on the West Coast. Two NYC concerts have just been added for late August at the Mercury Lounge.

His fourth studio album, Seven Swans, dropped in March on the Danielson Famile’s Sounds Familyre label. His 2000 debut, A Sun Came, is set for expanded reissue in July on Asthmatic Kitty.
