The tour is scheduled to run through October 7, when he’ll wrap in Hartford, Conn.

Organizers promise a theatrical set design, a sexy wardrobe (a tall challenge for the usually shirtless singer), a full live band with backup singers, and – of course – Usher’s signature moves.

Usher’s fourth studio album, Confessions, was released in March and went platinum in its first week, marking the highest debut by an R&B artist in Soundscan history. The album has now sold more than four million copies, and Usher recently became the third artist in history (joining the Beatles and the Bee Gees) to chart three top ten singles in one week.

Producer-turned-rapper Kanye West will support on the trek. West is currently reaping the rewards of his own red-hot debut, The College Dropout.
