The urban festival will follow its traditional rock, reggae and hip-hop theme with headliners Jack Johnson, Foo Fighters, Ludacris, and The Marley Family. Other artists performing include Social Distortion, Cypress Hill, Black Eyed Peas, not to mention a number of other impressive acts.

In the past, Street Scene was held in mid-September for three days. This year, however, in an attempt to make the festival San Diego’s “pinnacle event to celebrate the end of summer,” organizers have decided to set dates late in August. They have also decided to move the concert to a larger venue.

The new location will be in the heart of San Diego’s downtown in a venue set adjacent to Petco Park. The new setting will double in size to almost 600,000 square feet. Organizers say the new location will offer easier parking and access to public transportation for all.

Tickets are already on sale with a limited amount of two-day tickets for $55 and individual days for $39.50.
