The former Whiskeytown frontman will play one show overseas in Spain at the Azkena Festival before making his way toward the States.

Current dates for the tour have the solo artist making his way through several states including Tennessee, Georgia, Texas, California, and New York to promote his Lost Highway release, Love Is Hell. The album was originally intended to be the official follow-up to 2001’s Gold, but, due to a disagreement with his label, last year’s Rock N Roll ended up coming out first.

Adams will make a September 17 stop at the in Texas, where he’ll play beside western swingers Asleep at the Wheel, Los Lonely Boys, Sheryl Crow, The Killers and many others for day one of the weekend extravaganza. Day two includes Howie Day, Modest Mouse, My Morning Jacket and the ever-so-loved Pixies.

From there, the tousled troubadour will play three dates in California – one in Los Angeles (September 20) and two in San Francisco (September 22-23) – before packing up his guitar and visiting his home base in New York City. After a week’s rest he’ll play one night stand at the city’s Beacon Theatre.
