The P-Furs are back on tour as of August 12, playing the Marquee Theatre in Tempe, Ariz., then they head to California for a couple of shows.

From there, the old-school alt rockers travel east making appearances in Oklahoma, Tennessee and Georgia, where they’ll perform with Blondie at Centennial Olympic Park on August 20.

The band’s last North American tour kicked off earlier this year in March, and they made several appearances at House of Blues venues, and four Hard Rock Cafes.

The Psychedelic Furs were formed in 1977 by brothers Richard (vocals) and Tim (bass) Butler, and became one of the most revered groups to emerge from England’s new wave scene.

After several album and tours, the Furs split up in ‘92. They regrouped in 2000 to open for the Go-Go’s/B-52’s tour, and headlined their own shows once again the following year.
