Queensryche Returns To Mindcrime
The band is dusting off the classic after 15 years and will also provide a preview of its upcoming release, tentatively-titled Operation:mindcrime II, scheduled to hit stores next year.
Frontman Geoff Tate, guitarists Michael Wilton and Mike Stone, bassist Eddie Jackson and drummer Scott Rockenfield, accompanied by former Vatican composer Michael Igor Delassandra on keyboards, will perform a greatest hits set leading into the preview.
“The band is so excited to be performing Operation:mindcrime in its entirety again after not having done this in 15 years,” Tate said. “We are presenting it in a whole new way that finally does justice the intricacies of the story and the personalities of the characters.”
The upgraded mindcrime production will include local orchestra string sections in selected cities, live actors, expanded video footage and a Surround Sound audio setup.
The fall leg of the tour kicks off October 5th in Seattle and wraps up in Myrtle Beach, S.C., October 29th. Another set of dates is planned to start in January.
