Cockburn, with his mystical lyricism and strong guitar work, has been producing musical gems since 1970, but has only had one single make the charts in the U.S., “Wondering Where The Lions Are,” in 1979. He also saw some MTV play with “If I Had A Rocket Launcher.”

But Cockburn has seen a string of potential U.S. hits fall by the wayside – songs “Waiting For A Miracle” and “Whole Night Sky” come to mind. Meanwhile, in Canada, he has won numerous Juno awards and is a favorite son.

The musician crosses the border August 17th to visit Corvalis, Ore.’s Majestic Theatre. He also has dates in Nevada and California before running through Quebec in October.

He returns to the East Coast just before Halloween, playing in Ithaca, N.Y., Sellersville, Penn., and Philadelphia before more Quebec dates kick throughout November.

Cockburn tour concludes in Troi Riveres, QC, November 28th.
