The Hurricane Frances warning covered much of the state’s eastern coast and more than a million people were told to evacuate. States of emergency were declared in Florida and Georgia.

On September 2, the day before Frances was set to make landfall, the Sound Advice Amphitheatre at the South Florida Fairgrounds canceled its Ozzfest date scheduled for September 4th.

The Labor Day Hip-Hop Explosion featuring Twista and Jadakiss at the University of Miami Center has been rescheduled for October 9th, according to The Miami Herald.

Other shows affected include: Charly Garcia at Miami Beach’s Jackie Gleason Theatre, Jeffrey Osborne at the James L. Knight Center, “Dora the Explorer Live!” at Kravis Center, the Miami Home Design & Remodeling show at the Miami Beach Convention Center, and the (Hurricane) Charley Relief benefit at Ford Amphitheatre.

Hard Rock Live in Orlando has canceled all weekend dates.
