Love Those Zombies
Did you know that some rock ‘n’ roll archivists believe the Hippie movement began when Love played for the first time at Los Angeles’ Whiskey A Go-Go? Just a fun fact for anyone who’s listening.
Not only that, but a lot of folks think The Zombies were one of the most musically progressive acts of the same era. Together, The Zombies and Love with Arthur Lee are kicking off a September/October tour that will take them “further” than they’ve ever been before (either you know that one or you don’t).
Things start off in that leftist, pinko, liberal bastion of hippiness, San Francisco, September 28 at the historical Great American Music Hall, and hit Los Angeles, San Diego, Minneapolis, Chicago, Cleveland and New York City, among other places, before winding down at State Theatre in Falls Church, Va., October 16.
