Since their 1998 debut, Bring It On, the band has toured several times around, and recently announced another jaunt that begins in September.

September 17 will prove to be a busy day for Gomez. The band will play two shows in Austin, Texas – one at La Zona Rosa and the other at the at Zilker Park – which will mark the beginning of the 26-date tour.

Later that weekend, Gomez will be joined by Gov’t Mule in Morrison, Colo., at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

From there, Ben Ottewell (vocals, guitar), Tom Gray (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Paul Blackbburn (bass, guitar), Olly Peakcock (drums), and Ian Ball (vocals, guitar, harmonica) will zigzag across the U.S., covering cities in Utah, Nevada, California, Idaho, Washington, Alabama, North Dakota, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri and Texas.

On October 16, Gomez will stop in Louisiana for an appearance at the two-day Voodoo Music Experience at New Orleans City Park. Joining them for the gig are fellow Brits Snow Patrol and Brooklyn shoegazers Ambulance LTD.

But fans in the East will still get a chance to hear the songs from the band’s latest release, Split The Difference, before the guys finish up with a two-day finale at New York’s Irving Plaza October 25-26.
