Megadeth Blackmails The Universe
Megadeth has announced dates for a U.S. tour in support of their brand new CD, The System has Failed.
The 22-date trek by the veteran metalheads kicks off October 23 in Reno and wraps November 20 in Minneapolis.
Joining group founder and frontman Dave Mustaine will be Glen Drover (King Diamond/Eidolon) on guitar, James MacDonough (Iced Earth) on bass, while Nick Menza returns to the group on drums.
Of his touring partners for the Blackmail The Universe Tour, Mustaine said, “James is a guy with long hair and a lot of tattoos and is an animal on bass. We like that kind of danger on that side of the stage.”
As for Drover, Mustaine calls him the “perfect fit,” and welcomes back Menza, who was in the group from 1990 through 1997.
In case anyone needs a Megadeth refresher, eight of the band’s albums were released this summer.
