“There were several reasons that factored into our decision,” the band said on its Web site. “Rest assured, however, that after much discussion and lots of prayer, we know this is the right path. Our end date is yet to be determined, but 2005 will be the Supertones’ last year together.”

Their booking agent, Mark Guynn of the William Morris Agency, added that it may be a bittersweet farewell, but it will be a lot of fun, too. Dates of their last tour are trickling in, so stay tuned. So far, the Supertones are playing seven dates between now and March, including stops in Nashville, Tucson and Lubbock, Texas.

The So-Cal band is known for an infectious ska-punk sound as well as light-hearted and energetic stage shows. Whatever the “end date,” the Supertones are sure to be making a great last go of things in ‘05.
