The band recently recorded a cover of the classic ’60s TV theme and filmed a video that has been seen (and seen, and seen) in advertisements for TBS’reality show “The Real Gilligan’s Island,” and between flicks at your nearest mega-cineplex.

It’s not Bowling For Soup’s first film foray – the Texas quartet has either performed in or recorded music for such films as “Scooby Doo 2,” “Freaky Friday,” “Jimmy Neutron” and the Britney Spears vehicle “Crossroads.”

But while catching the band on the silver screen keeps BFS fans happy in between gigs, nothing beats the real thing.

So, after playing a string of obligatory holiday-themed radio fests, BFS hits the road in earnest for a 33-date trek starting in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., December 16.

The trek then heads west starting in Texas and including stops in Albuquerque, San Diego, West Hollywood, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, Chicago and Washington, D.C. – with a whole slew of secondary market stops in between.
