Word Label Shakeup

Word Label Group prexy Barry Landis and several other executives were let go January 4th as part of a company restructuring, a label representative told Pollstar.

Meanwhile, Tim Marshall, formerly with Provident-Integrity Distribution, has joined Word as senior VP/GM.

The shake-up was said to be expected after Christian music entrepreneur Jim Van Hook was named chairman/CEO of Word Entertainment in November.

Hook succeeded Malcolm Mimms, who exited in September after his contract wasn’t renewed.
