Parrotheads To Invade Wrigley?

Chicago’s historic Wrigley Field may host a two-day concert over Labor Day weekend now that neighborhood groups have given the OK for a pair of Jimmy Buffett shows with an attendance cap of 39,000.

The board of the East LakeView Neighbors voted 5-4 in favor of the proposal to book the first concerts at the 90-year-old stadium.

A city alderman has requested that the Cubs donate 3,000 tickets to Wrigley Field neighbors and donate up to $150,000 of concert proceeds to nearby schools.

It’s not a done deal yet; the Chicago City Council still must approve the concert proposal.
