NBC Concert Pulls In $18 Mil

NBC’s January 15th benefit concert, “Tsunami Aid: A Concert of Hope,” raised more than $18 million in pledges for the American Red Cross International Response Fund.

Individual NBC stations brought in another $10 million through separate telethons, the network said.

The two-hour concert simulcast from Southern California’s Universal Studios, NYC’s Rockefeller Center and London’s BBC Studios featured performances from numerous stars including Madonna, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Eric Clapton, Sheryl Crow and Sarah McLachlan.
