Mindy Jostyn Dies

Folk musician Mindy Jostyn died March 10th at her home in Hudson, N.Y., following a brief illness. Further details were kept private at the request of the family, a spokeswoman told Pollstar.

The singer/songwriter toured and recorded with artists including Billy Joel, Carly Simon, John Mellencamp, Cyndi Lauper, Joe Jackson and Donald Fagen before launching a solo career in the mid-’90s.

Most recently, Jostyn recorded her fifth album, Coming Home, which is set for release later this year.
