The rock balladeer will be touring Europe this June and July, returning for the Beacon Theatre gigs August 5-9. He is also going to hit Toronto, Atlantic City, Boston, Cleveland and other U.S. cities before stopping September 16 in Biloxi, Miss.

Lovers of Meat Loaf (even the vegan kind) are expected to have several chances to get close to the singer who was born Marvin Lee Aday. With the tag line “Experience It, Be a Part of It,” the tour will include a lot of participation with fans at each stop. For instance, each show will begin with a selected audience member counting off the first tune, with the lucky son-of-a-gun picked that night.

A radio promotion in each city sees fans who dress up as their favorite characters from Meat Loaf songs getting special treatment: the opportunity to trade in their seats to sit on the side of the stage.

Also, local singers will audition to sing alongside Meat Loaf for his hit “Paradise by the Dashboard Light.”
