Acts have not been officially announced, but rumor has it that Beck, The Killers, Kings of Leon, and Widespread Panic will be on the bill. However, Shelby Meade of Fresh and Clean Media – who’s handling press for the event – told Pollstar “those bands are not confirmed.”

Lollapalooza’s Web site is expected to re-launch April 1st, with a line-up announcement slated for April 22nd, Meade said.

William Morris agent and Lollapalooza co-founder Marc Geiger booked last year’s fest and is reportedly working on the Chicago shows. Perry Farrell is also said to be involved on the creative side, with Capital Sports and Entertainment producing.

Last summer’s event was to feature the likes of Morrissey, Sonic Youth, The Flaming Lips, The String Cheese Incident, Modest Mouse, The Polyphonic Spree and more. The Pixies, P.J. Harvey, Wilco and others were to join the bill on select dates.

But despite sharply reduced ticket prices at most venues, sales faltered and the tour was canceled.
