Fox Tucson Loan Approved

A $5.6 million loan intended to ensure that the restoration of Tucson, Ariz.’s Fox Theatre is finished before New Year’s Eve has been approved by the City Council.

The Fox Tucson Theatre Foundation has 15 years to repay the loan.

The restoration plan aims to make the theatre available for concerts, stage productions, children’s programs, meetings and other events.

The 75-year-old landmark has been closed since 1974.
