Metropol Is A Zoo

Club Zoo has opened in Pittsburgh in the building that once housed the city’s Metropol club.

The 1,400-capacity venue will book all-ages shows for touring acts this summer. The building is owned and operated by Bernie Firman; Lisa Szurlej is the in-house booker.

Metropol closed in 2003 and went through two names before Firman purchased the building and opened it in mid-February. The club can be reached at 412-867-0093.
