The Native American Tulalip Tribes plan to build a 1,500-seat amphitheatre that will sit next to the existing Tulalip Casino in Washington.

The project will be in conjunction with a 13-story hotel and a soon-to-open factory outlet mall, according to the Marysville Globe. Construction is expected to start next summer.

“We’re going to be booking all sorts of exciting acts,” Billy Alan Productions chief Billy Brill, who books Native American-owned venues, told Pollstar. “We’re looking for acts that are unique to the area and who have played the area before.”

Despite competition in the market, Brill feels “there’s enough business for everybody.”

“It’s my job to make sure they have the edge, and I’m going to work really hard to make sure this casino is the best and most unique casino I’ve ever booked in the area,” he added.

The new venue will also reportedly provide casino-goers with perks including VIP meet-and-greets with artists.
