Wayne Newton To Leave Stardust

After six years at Las Vegas’ Stardust Resort & Casino, Wayne Newton has announced he is moving on.

The entertainer known as “Mr. Las Vegas” has been at the venue since 1999, but had trimmed his schedule as of late because of other obligations.

Besides entertaining troops overseas as the USO’s ambassador of goodwill, Newton, 63, now has his own reality TV show, “The Entertainer.”

“The time has come after an incredible six years to move on to new challenges,” Newton said.

His last Stardust show will be April 20th. He did not specify what his next plans will entail.
