Rainbow Expands To Vegas

West Hollywood’s legendary Rainbow Bar & Grill will open a new venue in Las Vegas May 28th under the ownership of industry vets Jerry and Bob Greenberg.

Company spokesman Bill Pappas said the Greenbergs have recreated the original rock ‘n’ roll hangout in Vegas, right down to the menu and decor, but have added their own photos and memorabilia from their years in the business.

The new facility is larger at 7,500 square feet, and features two dining rooms, a lounge, state-of-the-art sound and lighting equipment, in-house video system and an outside year-round patio. It will be open 24/7.

“What we want to do is make sure that everybody that comes to Las Vegas now — and so many entertainers are here every weekend to play — that we make it real comfortable for anybody from L.A. to come here and feel at home,” Pappas told Pollstar.

The new venue will also host occasional live music performances for an estimated capacity of 300 people. Impromptu jam sessions are also an option.

“That’s always been part of Jerry and Bob’s legacy — discovering or bringing new groups up, getting them started, ” Pappas said. “If anyone in the industry wants to showcase something, this might just be a good venue to do it.”
