The Two Johns
The classic rockers will kick off the trek June 24th at the Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati and will continue to tour for another two months, although only the first half of the outing is confirmed.
The tour, being presented by VH1 and VH1 Classic, will go westward from Cincinnati to Indianapolis, St. Louis, Milwaukee, Chicago and Detroit.
July 5 will mark the start of the tour’s East Coast run along the East coast with a show at the Post-Gazette Pavilion in Pittsburgh. From there, Mellencamp and Fogerty will play dates among the Northeastern states before heading south for shows in Virginia, North Carolina, and Georgia.
Dates for the Western U.S. are expected for the latter part of the summer.
Both Mellencamp and Fogerty just completed recent tours in support of new albums. Mellencamp released Words and Music, a greatest hits album, in October 2004; Fogerty released Déjà vu All Over Again last September.
In addition to performing material from those albums, fans can expect Fogerty and Mellencamp to take the stage together on a number of songs throughout the tour.
