Coach House Buyer Injured

Roger Leblanc, the longtime booker at Santa Ana, Calif.’s Coach House, was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident April 25th and at press time was in the Intensive Care Unit at a Palm Springs hospital.

Sources told Pollstar Leblanc was returning from the annual River Run motorcycle gathering in Laughlin, Nev., and was traveling in a group of four motorcycles on a two-lane highway near Twentynine Palms, Calif., when two cars collided head-on in front of them. All four motorcycles crashed into the pileup. One of the riders was killed.

Leblanc, who is in his mid-30s, suffered four breaks in his left lower leg, two compound fractures in his left forearm and a hand injury, according to sources. He was allegedly wearing a novelty “half-helmet,” which is not approved by the Department of Transportation but fortunately did not suffer a head injury.

Another rider suffered a broken ankle and the fourth suffered a broken knee and head trauma.

It was uncertain how long Leblanc would remain hospitalized but sources said he was expected to make a full recovery.
