Kathleen’s Coming Back
Kathleen Edwards – critics’ darling, Pollstar cover artist and a proud Canadian – is embarking on her second go-around, this time for the sophomore effort Back To Me. The singer/songwriter’s debut, Failer, drew raves, with Edwards being proclaimed the next Lucinda Williams.
Word has been building for the second album, and although the press has not been as splashy, the songs are well-accepted and she has probably written one of the catchiest lyrics in modern folk music with “I know where the cops hang out.”
With good vibes and positive reinforcement, Edwards is kicking things off in Portland, Maine, on May 6 at the Big Easy and traveling through June 17, winding things up at Boulder, Colo.’s Fox Theatre. She plays with Lowen & Navarro in Nashville on May 15 and will appear at the
