The group that penned hits like “Wheel in the Sky” and “Don’t Stop Believin'” are set to give fans a treat with a live retrospective spanning their entire career.

The tour, billed as “The concert that takes you back – and into the future,” will feature a three hour show (!) covering all their classic hits as well as a few unsung favorites.

“No matter what kind of Journey fan you’ve been,” says guitarist Neal Schon, “this is going to be the show to see. We’re covering the spectrum of our entire catalog. We’ll play songs from the very first record and the other three pre-Steve Perry ones, and everything else from there on out, including music from the new album.”

The new album in question is called Generations and while no official release has been set, concertgoers will have a go at the album before the general public. Copies of Generations will be given away free with the purchase of concert tickets.

The tour kicks off June 26 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine, Calif. A few more dates in the Southwest will follow, and the beginning and middle of July will see the band taking their show to venues in the upper Midwest.

Journey won’t make it to the East Coast until the middle of August, starting with a show at the Ryan Center in Kingston, R.I. on August 17. They’ll work their way South through N.J. and N.Y. before wrapping up in Biloxi, Miss. on September 24.

Another perk for fans on this tour is that every member of the band will get a shot a being lead vocalist.

“Everyone is singing at least one, if not two songs on the new album,” said bassist Ross Valory. “We’ve been doing that on the past few tours and the audiences love it. We’re spreading the talent around.”
